Learn to Make a 5 strand Horsehair Bracelet.

Cost: $25.00     Date : May 29th  6-8 pm

All skill levels welcome.......

<=== 5 strand.

   You will need 200-300 2'  long hairs from the bottom of the horse’s tail. We will not be using mane hair. The students will need to provide their own hair but if there is a student who wishes to attend but has no access to hair- email me and I will provide it for an additional cost of 5 dollars.

  I will provide all of the additional supplies.

The hair needs to be clean!! This can be done very simply by soaking the hair overnight in a solution of very hot water (from the tap), 1 tablespoon of Dawn dish soap and 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda.  Agitate gently so it doesn't tangle the hair. The following day rinse the hair thoroughly in warm water and hang to dry. OR if there is a bit of a time crunch- shampoo hair with Dawn dish soap in hot water until your rinse water runs clear and rise very well. Work the hair but don't scrub so it doesn't tangle too badly.

Limited to 6 seats.... have 4 filled.  Better call today!!!!!

Learn How to make Paper Beads!!
Skill level: Beginners!!!
Date: TBA 6-8 pm
Students will need to bring:
A ruler and scissors

Cost: 25.00 with a max of 6 students.

Call 541-673-3949 for details .

Paper beading has a very long history, actually dating to Victorian times when ladies would save their pretty paper and make beaded privacy curtains. Most recently it has made a comeback and is being seen worldwide from hobbyists to being used as a fundraiser for Africa.

I use new and recycled papers. Recycled being from magazine ads or gift-wrap, these are very colorful and are printed on nice glossy paper. New papers would include scrapbook paper and white or colored paper that I have hand-painted. They are all wrapped tightly with glue on a plastic tube and then sealed; this gives the beads a hard finish that is durable.
Come join us and learn this restyled old craft.
